Larry Levine is a senior attorney in the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Water Program, working primarily on urban water quality issues in the Northeast region, including in Philadelphia, and at the national policy level. His work focuses especially on promoting the use of “green infrastructure” as a sustainable solution to polluted stormwater runoff and raw sewage overflows. Larry was previously a clinical fellow in environmental law at the Georgetown University Law Center, and is a graduate of Yale Law School and Tulane University. Larry blogs on green infrastructure and other water resources protection issues at http://switchboard.nrdc.org/blogs/llevine/ and has authored or co-authored a number of NRDC’s reports on green infrastructure, available at http://www.nrdc.org/water/pollution/rooftopsII/default.asp

John Nystedt, RLA, LEED AP BD+C: Utilizing his 30 years of experience in ecological restoration and landscape architecture, John designs and manages the restoration projects for the Delaware Riverkeeper Network. His areas of expertise include habitat & riparian restoration, ecological land management and design, green stormwater infrastructure design, and invasive plant management. Since joining the Delaware Riverkeeper Network in 2011, he has been producing land management plans; designing and directing green stormwater infrastructure and riparian restoration projects; producing educational materials; providing technical assistance to communities; and assisting environmental and community groups.

Fred Stine has worked as a community organizer for the Delaware Riverkeeper Network since 1994. Working on issues that include floodplain protection, stormwater management, land preservation, community resiliency and habitat restoration, Fred has helped organize and train hundreds of concerned citizens on how to review permit applications and development project plans, conduct file reviews, prepare testimony, conduct water quality sampling and generally how to effectively advocate for their community’s natural resources. He earned his B.A. in Urban Studies and Community Development from Rutgers University.
