PRESENTS: Communication in Autism Spectrum Disorder: Insights into Typical and Atypical Development
Ashley de marchena, PhD, received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut, with concentrations in Neuropsychology and Child Clinical Psychology. Her clinical focus is on assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders throughout the lifespan, with a specific emphasis on early detection of autism spectrum disorder. Dr. de Marchena’s research interests are focused on communication skills in autism spectrum disorder, in particular on the interplay between complex communicative processes (e.g., pragmatic language, speech-gesture integration) and more basic neurocognitive factors.
