Learning Objectives

  • Describe the interaction of the human microbiome in innate immunologic response
  • Identify children with heightened risk of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection
  • Apply knowledge of current epidemiology and microbiology of Neisseria gonorrhoeae to management of adolescents
  • Recognize risk factors and microbiology of novel emerging infections (e.g., Candida auris)

Target Audience
Physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing personnel, fellows, residents, medical students and other health care professionals who take care of children
