PITCH Competition

Event Description

All Drexel undergraduate and graduate students are invited to participate in the PITCH Competition sponsored by the Drexel University Libraries. This is a blended online/on campus event that will allow contestants to submit entries online, and have the option of presenting in the library or submitting a video of their presentation.

The challenge: "Do you have an idea to solve the greatest grand challenges of civilization? As a Drexel student, you have access to the sum total of human knowledge and the latest tech breakthroughs through Drexel Libraries. Your challenge is to identify an emerging technology, and build a viable company to deploy to the masses."

To participate, students should write a 1/2-page pitch of their proposed company, including citations of relevant scientific or technical literature (e.g. journal articles, conference articles, ebooks, standards, patents) to justify their idea on technical grounds. Students may compete in two to three person teams, or as individuals.
