Dear Members of the Drexel Community,

In the course of the past year, events in our country have led to questions regarding issues of inclusivity, political and social climate. Drexel is not immune to these issues and it is critical for us as a campus community to come together and dialogue about these topics. As President Fry noted in a campus-wide message this summer, our fundamental responsibility as a university is to take on difficult questions and encourage our diverse community to speak openly and compassionately these topics.

With this is mind, the Offices of the Provost and Student Life are hosting an open dialogue for all students, which will give the Drexel student body an opportunity to comment on these events and dialogue with one another and members of the Drexel administration. The event will be on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 beginning at 6 PM in the Papdakis Integrated Sciences Building, Room 120. A panel discussion and dialogue will be followed by a reception where students can interact with senior administration individually.

The panel discussion will include two students and the following senior administrators:

• Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Strategic Initiatives, Koren Bedeau, Ph.D.
• Vice President of Public Safety and Chief of Police, Eileen Behr 
• Executive Vice President and Provost Brian Blake, Ph.D. 
• Vice President and Dean of Student Life, Subir Sahu, Ph.D. 
• Chair of the Faculty Senate, Ludo Scheffer, Ph.D. 

We hope that you will join us for this event and dialogue, as we look to engage one another on how to strengthen our campus community and create a welcoming home for all students.
