Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Tet (January 31 - February 21, 2018) — the most significant battle of the Vietnam War — the Drexel University Department of History, the Drexel Army ROTC program and the Office of Veteran Student Services present a talk by Captain Alvan Markle IV, USA Ret., USAR Ret., on "Vietnam and Tet: Did the Media Get It Right?"

A Vietnam Veteran and amateur historian, Captain Markle has studied this war, especially Tet, and has found several Vietnamese Communist officers/authors who shed new light on important issues. He will also discuss key players, major decisions, lessons learned and the role of the Media.

Light refreshments will follow the lecture.

This lecture is sponsored by The Office of Veteran Student Services, Drexel Army ROTC, and The Department of History
