Special Lecture: Vietnam and Tet; Did the Media Get It Right?

Event Description
Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Tet, (1/31-2/21/18) the most significant battle of the Vietnam War, the Drexel University History Department, the Drexel Army ROTC Department and Office of Veteran Student Services present a talk by Captain Alvan Markle IV, USA Ret., USAR Ret., on "Vietnam and Tet; Did the Media Get It Right?"
 
A Vietnam Veteran and amateur historian, Captain Markle has studied this war, especially Tet, and has found several Vietnamese Communist officers/authors who shed new light on important issues. He will also discuss key players, major decisions, lessons learned and the role of the media.
 
Presentation from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. with reception following, ending at 5:00 p.m.
