Event Description Biomedical ethics has critical importance in the study, research and practice of of Biomedical Science and Engineering. In this seminar, a faculty panel comprised of John Domzalsky, research professor; Andres Kriete, associate director for Graduate Studies and Academic Operations, Don McEachron, research professor and associate director; moderator Banu Onaral, H.H. Sun Professor and director (all from BIOMED); and Jay Bhatt, liaison librarian, engineering, Drexel University Libraries, will review definitions of biomedical ethics and scientific integrity, including plagiarism and cheating. National and international norms, as well as Drexel University's and the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems' policies and processes, will be presented. These policies affect all students, faculty and staff and any Biomed community members. These concepts and procedures will be illustrated by case study examples.
