Event Description When the Cupboard is Bare Wednesday, April 10th, from 12:00pm-1:30pm Intercultural Center First Floor Gallery Hunger is one of the most hidden, yet persistent problems that families and individuals in our community are facing today. This program will explore what hunger looks like in Philadelphia; why people are struggling with food insecurity when our grocery store shelves are bursting with food; and the hands-on opportunities available to make a real and lasting impact in our region.
This program is a part of Social Justice Week 2013. The Student Center for Inclusion and Culture, The Lindy Center for Civic Engagement, Hillel, and the Residential Living Office are happy to sponsor a week full of educational presentations that will help our community advance in the pursuit of social justice. |
