Event Description Drexel's Department of Public Safety, in partnership with the Department of Environmental Health and Safety, will conduct a field-level mass casualties exercise on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon outside Gerri C. LeBow Hall. The exercise will take place by the entrance on the east side of LeBow Hall, near the AJ Drexel statue. This exercise is planned in cooperation with the University of Pennsylvania Division of Public Safety. The exercise objectives are to assess the response of Drexel Police and Emergency Medical Services to a HAZMAT and mass casualties event. The exercise also will evaluate communications and decision-making practices for Drexel administration. Drexel faculty, professional staff and students, as well as City of Philadelphia agencies and our colleagues from academic institutions, have been invited to observe the event. |
