Event Description
The Center for Hospitality and Sport Management will be teaming up with Chef Jeremy Nolen of Brauhaus Schmitz on Wednesday, October 15th for a traditional Oktoberfest dinner! Students from Drexel’s Fine Dining class will work with Chef Nolen to prepare and serve a traditional 3-course family style meal, showcasing some dishes from Jeremy's upcoming book New German Cooking.
The dinner will also include a pairing of premier German beers for patrons 21 and over. The dinner will be from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm with a “willkommen" reception starting at 6:00 pm.
The cost of the dinner is $35.00.
Hailing from Reading, PA, Jeremy has always had a passion for artisanal charcuterie, making sausages and cheeses, bread baking, and German food and has honed his craft through restaurants in Reading, Allentown, and here in Philadelphia. Open since 2009, the critically acclaimed Brauhaus Schmitz has garnered much praise for their authenticity, most notably by The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Craig LaBan who wrote that “(Brauhaus Schmitz delivers) the satisfaction of Philly’s German tradition come alive again”.
