This info session will provide an overview of the Truman, Udall and PPIA scholarships, including how to apply for campus nomination, program benefits, and more.
The Truman Scholarship is a highly prestigious national award that recognizes the nation’s top undergraduates committed to careers in public service. Truman Scholars receive up to $30,000 to pursue a degree in public service-related fields. Scholars also gain opportunities for summer internships, receive career and professional development, and join a powerful network of Truman Scholar alumni. Drexel can nominate up to 4 students per year for the Truman Scholarship.
The Udall Scholarship is open to college sophomores and pre-/juniors who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to the environment (or to tribal health policy). The award offers up to $5,000 plus extensive networking opportunities. The Udall Foundation seeks future leaders across a wide spectrum of environmental fields, including policy, engineering, science, education, urban planning and renewal, business, health, justice, and economics.
The Public Policy and International Affairs Fellowship (PPIA) prepares college juniors from diverse or underrepresented backgrounds for graduate studies in public or international affairs. This fellowship offers summer institutes, internships, seminars, and support for graduate study including $5,000+ towards graduate school tuition.
