Grappling with the Unknown: Does Life Revolve Around Uncertainties?
Start Date: 10/15/2015Start Time: 6:30 PM
End Date: 10/15/2015End Time: 8:00 PM

Event Description

What do robots, decision-making, particle physics, and you have in common? Not sure? Uncertain? In collaboration with professors from the departments of Psychology, Computer Science, Physics, and Philosophy, we will be exploring how our daily interactions, from the visual input we receive to the particles that surround us, are inherently ambiguous. This event, sponsored by the Pennoni Honors College, will seek to understand how some uncertainties are central to our daily encounters. While we as humans need definitive truths to feel secure, it’s amazing that some uncertainties are so central to our world.
