The 2016 Presidential Election presents voters rather clear choices of personalities, styles, experiences and issue positions. In 2016, as well as in past elections, there is a complex maze of primaries and caucuses that must be navigated by the candidates, as well as their campaigning and the presidential debates. However, many may say that the 2016 election is like no other. This election presents interesting voting decisions for the public in a politically polarized campaign environment presented through political ads, social media, and the mass media coverage through polls and news coverage. The panel will explore these issues from both a contemporary and historical perspective and provide insights for the political system going forward.

This event is free and open to the Drexel community. Light refreshments will be served.
