Event Description
The Drexel University Student Council for Exceptional Children and the PEAL Center are offering free workshops on developing strong Individual Education Program's (IEP's) and working effectively with school teams.
Part 1 of the 3-part series will held on Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 at One Drexel Plaza (3001 Market st.), room 004. Refreshments will be served starting at 5:30. The training session will begin promptly at 6:00 pm.
In Part 1, parents will learn the basics of their child's right to special education services, the process of developing special education plans, and the parent's role in developing an IEP that is responsive to the goals written for their child. Bring your son or daughter's IEP and begin the process of translating dreams you have for your child's future into concrete elements that can be incorporated into an IEP.
