Event Description
This exam preparation course is offered in a 35-hour hybrid format consisting of 21 hours of on-campus training and 14 hours of online instruction. This course prepares you for the PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) and Project Management Professional (PMP®) exams. You will learn how to apply PMI principles and standards to successfully manage a project. To complete the course, you will need to submit a final project for review.

Prepare clear, concise statements of project objectives

Set up graphical and tabular project work breakdown structures

Prepare and review a project schedule using a bar (Gantt) chart

Analyze project network schedules using the Precedence Diagramming Method and the Critical Path Method

Identify basic project resource and cost estimates

Apply Earned Value Management to evaluate project performance

Identify appropriate quality standards to ensure project quality

Apply systematic methods for risk identification, analysis, and response

Clarify major procurement and contracting systems

Recognize organizational alternatives for project management

Identify effective methods for influence and motivation of the project team

Select appropriate leadership styles for the project team

Apply effective methods in resolving conflicts

Use effective communications, feedback, and active listening skills
