Event Description The Institute for Women's Health and Leadership will celebrate its 20th anniversary with an Academic Symposium on Women's Health on Thursday, September 26 followed by a special presentation at 5:15 pm by New York Times Columnist, Nicholas Kristof. CME credits are available.
On Friday, September 27, the Marion Spencer Fay Award will be presented to Nancy Andrews, M.D., Ph.D., dean, Duke University School of Medicine. Dean Andrews' lecture is entitled "Black Swan or Butterfly?" In the afternoon, IWHL will present a Catalyst-moderated panel and workshop on leadership experiences of women and men at Drexel. Following this workshop, President Fry will present an honorary degree to Dr. Bernice "Bunny" Sandler, the "godmother of Title IX," and will host a special tribute to Dr. Walter Cohen, DDS, chancellor emeritus of Drexel University College of Medicine. All events are free and open to the public, however space is limited. Registration is required. |
