Event Description The Department of Physics invites families and their students to an observation session atop the Main Building at the Joseph R. Lynch Observatory, home to the largest telescope in Philadelphia. Directed by Professor Rachael Kratzer, with support from physics grad and undergrad assistants, the group will view a variety of celestial objects, including planets, nebulae, star clusters, and comets. These objects are seen via the department’s Meade LX200GPS Telescope with Schmidt-Cassegrain 16" Optics. Weather permitting. Sponsored by the Department of Physics, College of Arts & Sciences. |
