On Monday, October 15, 2018, the Westphal College Department of Architecture Design & Urbanism will inaugurate the first of the new Twilight Lecture Series. These lectures are designed to highlight significant local voices who are practicing at the intersection of design and public policy. Please join the Department of Architecture Design & Urbanism in the URBN Annex Screening Room, 3401 Filbert Street, at 5:30PM to hear Jamie Gauthier, the Executive Director of the Fairmount Park Conservancy, who will speak about "Reimagining the Civic Commons". Our lectures are free and open to the public.
Jamie Gauthier is the Executive Director of the
Fairmount Park Conservancy, a non-profit organization
devoted to the preservation and improvement of
Philadelphia’s 10,000 acre Fairmount Park system
and the city’s 200 plus neighborhood parks. As a key
partner in a national campaign called, “Reimagining the
Civic Commons,” Jamie leads a local collaborative group
of partners in revitalizing communities through better
programming, management and development of public
space. Jamie is a committed Philadelphian. She holds
an undergraduate degree in Business Administration
from Temple University, a graduate degree in City
Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a
resident of West Philadelphia. |
