Learning Hour: Basics of Written Communication

Event Description
Part of the new Learning Hour Series. This Learning Hour will focus on the differences between verbal and written communicationto in order to help participants create simple, effective written communication including memos and emails. Participants will be encouraged to bring an example of a written communication for the workplace to work on during the session.

Presented by Professor Sharon Brubaker, Department of English and Philosophy. Professor Brubaker is an Adjunct Faculty member and Acquisitions Technician for University Libraries. Professor Brubaker teaches for the Freshman Writing Program and is a tutor for the University Writing Center.

Light refreshments will be served during the session.
