Event Description Drexel’s College of Computing & Informatics Celebrates National Computer Science Education Week
Joining hundreds of educational institutions across the nation, Drexel University and the College of Computing & Informatics (CCI) are continuing the effort to raise awareness of the vital role computer science education holds in society during its sixth annual celebration of National Computer Science Education Week.
CCI and its student organizations will host a variety of events November 18-22, 2013 to educate Drexel and surrounding communities on the importance of computing and its need in early education.

New to the Game: Tips on Starting a Gaming Company A Lecture with David Bisceglia
URBN Center, Room 349 3501 Market Street Philadelphia, PA 19104 7- 9 p.m.
Drexel Game Developers Group (DGDG) welcomes David Bisceglia, co-founder and CEO of The Tap Lab, a Boston-based startup that develops social games that spark the imagination and seamlessly integrate with today’s fast-paced mobile lifestyle. David will discuss his experience starting a successful gaming company in the ever-evolving industry and answer questions about the process.
The event is free and open to the public.
About the Speaker: David is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Tap Lab, a Boston-based startup that develops social games with a real-world twist. His focus is in game design, product management and business development. The Tap Lab is a graduate of TechStars Boston and winner of MassChallenge 2011. David actively contributes to the gaming and startup communities as a guest lecturer at MIT, Northeastern and Boston University as well as a speaker at industry events including PAX East, SXSW, MIT Business in Gaming, Mobile Monday, and Mobile Gaming USA. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) from the Boston University School of Management.
