Course Synopsis: Drexel University offers the 16-hour National Restaurant Association ServSafe program, which includes eight hours of classroom time and eight hours of home study. The course is recognized locally and nationally by the food safety training industry. Appropriate training is the best vehicle for all food service personnel—especially managers, supervisors, and owners—to learn about the hazards associated with day-to-day operations and the food preparation process. It is imperative for management to incorporate good sanitation practices into their operation by supporting employee training and education. The course includes 16 total hours with 8 hours of independent study and 8 hours of classroom instruction.
Cost of textbook is included in course fee.
Textbooks are to be picked up at 101 N. 33rd St. Suite 110 on the following days and times:
Mondays between 9:30am and 12pm
Wednesdays between 9:30am and 12pm
Thursdays between 9:30am and 12pm
Please note that it is required by law that the name on your ServSafe license matches the name on your driver's license or any other form of identification.
Re-Test Option:
For those who need to retake the test, there is the option of retaking the ServSafe exam in two different formats, either repeating the whole class and reviewing the exam material before retaking it, or by reporting to the class by 2pm on the class day to solely retake the exam. Exam-only registration can be purchased here . You must pick up your exam sheet at 101 N. 33rd St, Suite 110.
