Event Description A panel discussion featuring an attorney, an organizer and workers engaged in the "Fight for $15" fast food movement. "Fight for $15" is one of the most exciting labor organizing campaigns taking place in the United States today; it is a national movement dedicated to raising the wages and improving the working conditions of fast food workers across the country. The key aspect of the campaign has been to organize national, single-day strikes; tens of thousands of fast food workers marched in upwards of 150 American cities in the last strike. The panelists will shed light on the next national strike, and let students know how they can show their support. |
