Event Description

The Academy is celebrating 200 years of research on October 11 and 12, 2012, with a Bicentennial Symposium exploring current and future research on the diversity of life with a focus on evolutionary history, ecology, and environmental quality.

The symposium features talks by Douglas J. Futuyma, Sandra Knapp, Patrick Kociolek, Wayne Maddison, Lucinda McDade, Shahid Naeem, Daniel Otte, and David Tilman followed by a panel discussion and a poster session for undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral scientists.
