1st Annual Mystery Market Basket – Student Culinology Competition

Event Description
The Center for Hospitality and Sport Management proudly welcomes the NY Metro Region of the Research Chefs Association hosts the 1st Annual, Mystery Market Basket Student Culinology Competition on Thursday, November 19 from 3pm - 6pm.
 
Six teams of students from technical high schools, colleges and universities in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania battle it out in this exciting "Chopped"-style event! Each team will be cooking for a chance to win a scholarship towards furthering their education in the Culinolgy, food science or culinary arts field!
 
Student and professional attendees will be able to network with each other during the broadcasted competition at Drexel University and enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer while students compete and have their plates judged.
 
The competition  team will create an appetizer, entrée and dessert using ten mystery market basket ingredients, donated by our sponsors. Dishes will be judged on creative and functional use of mystery ingredients, cleanliness and sensory attributes.

RCA Member and Non-Member: $20
RCA Member and Non-Member, including reception (must be 21+): $30
Students: Free
