Join the Dornsife School of Public Health's Department of Community Health and Prevention and the African American Collaborative Obesity Research Network (AACORN) as they welcome The Atua Matua Health Framework for a "New Zealand Maori Indigenous Health Lecture" on November 10 from 12pm-1pm. The Atua Matua aims to strengthen communities' understanding of their connections with their environment to provide a healthier living experience. This speaking series will address indigenous health inequalities and will feature Dr. Ihirangi Heke, creator of the revolutionary well-being approach as well as Dr. Wayne Ngata who has played a pivotal role in introducing Atua Matua to the Ministry of Education.
