Event Description Join us for a special evening with leaders from the National Endowment for the Arts Fifty years ago, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities Act, which gave birth to the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. In that time, the NEA has distributed over $5 billion through more than 145,000 individual grants. But what’s next? How is the NEA evolving in its approaches, programs, and research to meet the changing needs of artists, organizations, and society as a whole?
