Business Smart – The Business Smart Program aims to give participants the things they need to start and run successful businesses. We aim to equip participants with the right knowledge, connect users to the right tools, and supply information for the right resources to encourage, support, and empower our community members to start and sustain successful businesses. We aim to serve the residents of the 19104 neighborhoods, but are open to residents of other zip codes joining us as well, space provided. For the week of November 6, we have special Business Smart programming where LeBow students and staff will come to Dornsife to assist Business Smart participants with starting and improving digital marketing presence, creating and sustaining virtual organization tactics, and discussing how to best leverage your network.
· Business Smart and Drexel Women in Business Present: Dress for Success Workshop –Join us to learn about networking and dressing for success. This workshop is for people new to networking, whether you’re looking to start a business, get more from your professional network, or looking to strengthen your social network. Monday, November 6 from 6:15 – 7:15p.m. · Business Smart and American Marketing Association at Drexel Present: Digital Marketing Workshop –Students and staff from Drexel’s LeBow School of Business will lead a workshop on social media marketing. Learn about the importance of brand and messaging! Branding is one of the most important aspects of any business, large or small, retail or B2B. Learn how to create an effective brand strategy digitally through advertising and social media, to give you a competitive edge in the marketplace and bring more customers to you. This workshop is for anyone looking to start a business, and/or established businesses looking to reach more customers. Wednesday, November 8 from 5:30 – 7:30p.m. · Business Smart and Management Info Systems Organization Present: Making Spreadsheets Work for Your Business Excel Workshop – Learn how to make your budgeting, operations and tax prep activities work for your business. This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of Microsoft Excel, including entrepreneurs, business-owners, and those just entering the workforce.
