What Work Is: Poetry Reading and Student Response

Event Description
Please join us for a reception and poetry reading inspired by the exhibitions BADGES: A Memorial Tribute to Asbestos Workers and LIFE'S WORK: A Fifty Year Photographic Chronicle of Working in the U.S.A., exploring the experiences at work, featuring poems from Philip Levine's collection, "What Work Is" and others. Student writings in response to the exhibitions will also be presented.

 

The reception and poetry reading is sponsored in collaboration with the Department of English and Philosophy, the Dornsife School of Public Health, who funded the exhibitions, and the Drexel Collection. The event is free and open to the public.
