Event Description

On Thursday, November 14th, join the Music Industry program at 7:00pm in the URBN Annex Screening Room for a conversation with musician, producer, and journalist Steve Albini. Founder of the Chicago recording studio Electrical Audio, Albini has worked on thousands of albums, including ones by The Pixies, Nirvana, Jarvis Cocker, The Stooges, Cheap Trick, and Robert Plant & Jimmy Page. In recent years, Albini has received considerable exposure through his essays and speeches on exploitation in the music industry, the state of music media, and the shift toward subscription streaming.
