Drexel’s College of Computing & Informatics Celebrates National Computer Science Education Week
Joining hundreds of educational institutions across the nation, Drexel University and the College of Computing & Informatics (CCI) are continuing the effort to raise awareness of the vital role computer science education holds in society during its sixth annual celebration of National Computer Science Education Week.
CCI and its student organizations will host a variety of events November 18-22, 2013 to educate Drexel and surrounding communities on the importance of computing and its need in early education.

Girl Rising Documentary Screening and Discussion

A reception will be held before the screening begins.
Drexel’s Women in Computing Society (WiCS) is showing the acclaimed documentary, Girl Rising, which spotlights the remarkable stories of nine girls around the world striving beyond circumstance and overcoming nearly insurmountable odds to achieve their dreams. After the movie, join the discussion with representatives from industry and academia about their own experiences in education and careers.
