Event Description
Apply now to be a part of the exciting Alternative Spring Break 2014 program! The Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program places teams of Drexel students in communities to engage in community service and experiential learning during spring break. The objectives of the ASB program are to involve students in weeklong community-based service projects and to provide opportunities for engagement in activities that benefit the environment, the community, and those in need. The Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program will be held March 22-30, 2014 with 12 trips taking place locally, domestically, and internationally. Students interested in applying to the program should complete the application found on the Office of Campus Activities DragonLink page, under “forms”. The application must be completed by Wednesday, December 4, 2013. ASB trips require a financial commitment from participants. If selected to a trip, a $50 non-refundable deposit will be due by Friday, January 10, 2014. The remainder of the participant fee will be due prior to departure, on a trip-by-trip basis. Trip participants are expected to conduct fundraising to off-set costs if necessary. Trip notifications will be made mid-December 2013. This year’s trips include:
