The College of Computing & Informatics is excited to attend the Drexel Startup Fest on November 8!
Drexel Startup Fest runs November 8 and 9 from 2 to 7 p.m. in Behrakis Grand Hall
Join the Drexel entrepreneurship community for a two-day celebration of Drexel entrepreneurship at Drexel Startup Fest. The program includes the popular annual Baiada Institute Incubator Competition with $25,000 in cash prizes. Mingle with Philadelphia's up-and-coming entrepreneurs, earn a residential position at the Baiada Institute Incubator, and learn professional skills from prominent speakers at Drexel University's biggest entrepreneurship event!
Program highlights:
- Student pitch competition – compete for one of three $500 prizes by pitching your startup idea. Open to all Drexel students.
- Special guest speakers:
- Emily Bittenbender, Owner and Manager of Bittenbender Construction
- Anthony Gold, Co-founder and CEO of Roar for Good
- Patty Hillkirk, Founder of Camp Dreamcatcher
- KJ Dhaliwal, Founder and CEO of Dil Mil, the fastest growing dating app for South Asians across the world
- Entrepreneur expo – Meet Drexel entrepreneurs to learn what they do and what opportunities they may have for you to gain invaluable experience working with a startup.
- Startup Arcade – Win prizes from our exhibiting startups, sponsors and other Drexel entreprneurship programs and supporters.
- Staff pitch competition – compete for a $500 prize by pitching your startup idea. Open to all Drexel professional staff.
- Incubator competition – watch six Drexel startups compete for $25K in cash prizes and learn what it takes to take your startup to the next level.
- Food, drink and more! ChocAmo, Saxbys and others will be providing you with great food through the day and during our “meetup fest” receptions from 6 to 7 p.m. each day.
