Event Description
Be a part of the Drexel University Alumni Association's 40th Annual Alumni Holiday Turkey Project!

For the past four decades, Drexel alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends have provided holiday turkeys to the low income families that live within the University's West Philadelphia neighborhood and to those served by Drexel's 11th Street Family Health Services Center in North Philadelphia.

Consider making a gift to support the Project, and join your fellow Dragons who, over the past 40 years, have shared the warmth of the holiday season with our neighbors in need. You can also volunteer to join us at the Paul Peck Alumni Center on December 20th to help distribute the turkeys and see first-hand the impact the Project has on the community.

It's a big and special year for the Alumni Association's longest running community service program, and we hope you'll join us in honoring this holiday tradition.

VOLUNTEER >>

In 2012, more than 83 alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community volunteers distributed turkeys to 36 community organizations in Philadelphia. Through the generous support of the Drexel community, the project provided 1,000 holiday turkeys to local families.

This year, alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends are invited to take part in our special Turkey Project distribution event on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. outside the Paul Peck Alumni Center.

Friday, December 20, 2013
8:00 to 9:30 a.m.

Paul Peck Alumni Center
Drexel University
3142 Market Street
Philadelphia, PA 19104

Refreshments will be provided.
Please dress warmly, as the distribution is held outside!

Register to volunteer at http://www.drexel.edu/alumni/turkey_project.asp or call 215.895.ALUM.

DONATE >>

For this special year, our goal is to raise $20,000 in support of the Turkey Project – providing more than 1,000 families who might not have one, with a turkey this holiday season.

Donations in all amounts are graciously accepted, but in honor of the Turkey Project's 40th anniversary, alumni are encouraged to make a gift of $40 (or more), which would provide a turkey dinner to at least two local families. Your generous donation will help make this year's Turkey Project the best one yet!

You can make a donation when you register to volunteer, or you can make your gift online at http://deptapp.drexel.edu/ia/GOL/giftsonline1.asp?specinst=A14TP%20(Alumni%20Holiday%20Turkey%20Proj).
Checks made payable to Drexel University may also be mailed to: Drexel University, Turkey Project, P.O. Box 8215, Philadelphia, PA 19101-9684 the address below. Please note "Alumni Turkey Project" on the memo line.
