Event Description Stacie Murphy, Population Connection, Washington, D.C.
Abstract: I will review the history of population growth and future projections, and focus on how population is linked to most of the challenges we face in the 21st century. My talk will cover environmental impacts and social impacts, specifically on women and children. I will discuss the disparities between the developed and developing worlds and emphasize the need for greater equity and opportunity.
Population Connection educates about population issues and advocates for universal access to voluntary family planning.
