Event Description

Drexel Engineering will continue Dean’s Lecture Series on December 5 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium with Dr. Gail Rosen, associate professor of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, whose research focuses on how up to 9 out of every 10 cells in the human body are not human at all.

At the lecture, Rosen will explain how recent advances in DNA sequencing have revealed that microbes are tightly coupled to our immune system, supply nutrients and are so integral to our bodies that some scientists have referred to them as the "forgotten organ."
