Join us for five outstanding events over three days of thoughtful discussion and dialogue about intriguing and important ideas!

 

Tuesday, March 4th:
  • 4 - 5:30 p.m., Center for Automation Technology, 061: Elliot Paul, PhD, (Columbia University) “Losing Confidence: A Brief History of Intuition”, refreshments following.
  • 6:30 - 8:00p.m., Center for Automation Technology, 061: Panel discussion: “Philosophy, Literature, and Identity” - André Carrington, PhD (English), Sarah Hansen, PhD (Philosophy), Abioseh Porter, PhD (English), and Sheila Sandapen, PhD (English).

Wednesday, March 5th:
  • 4 - 5:30 p.m., Campbell Auditorium, Stratton Hall 113: Nathan Hanna, PhD (Drexel University), “The Free Will Defense Reconsidered”, refreshments following.
 
Thursday, March 6th:
  • 4 - 5:30 p.m., Mitchell Auditorium, Bossone 007: Miriam Solomon, PhD (Temple University), “Philosophical Perspectives on Translational Medicine,” refreshments following.
  • 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., Mitchell Auditorium, Bossone 007: “Social Science Approaches to Translational Medicine” - Ali Kenner, PhD (History & Politics/STS), Chloe Silverman, PhD (History & Politics/STS), Michael Yudell, PhD (Community Health and Prevention), and Cynthia A. Connolly, PhD, RN, FAAN (University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing).
