HHMI Pedagogical Happy Hour featuring Don McEachron, PhD

Event Description

CASTLE welcomes faculty to join the conversation at a newly implemented Pedagogical Happy Hour, funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. The Pedagogical Happy Hour provides a casual learning environment for faculty to share ideas about STEM teaching and learning; while enjoying refreshments.

The Pedagogical Happy Hour in December featured Don McEachron, Ph.D., T eaching Professor and Coordinator for Academic Assessment and Quality Improvement.

Dr. McEachron spoke on the use of reflection as a learning tool. This pedagogical method has students review what they have learned to try to understand what is left to learn or what could be better grasped.
