Target Audience
Attending physicians; fellows in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine; medical residents; medical students; respiratory therapists; and pulmonary function technicians

Learning Objectives

  • Learn the definition and WHO groups of pulmonary hypertension
  • Differentiating between WHO Gr 1 PH with underlying pulmonary parenchymal disease and WHO Gr 3 PH due to underlying pulmonary parenchymal disease
  • Learn the different physiologic phenotypes of Gr 3 PH
  • Discuss a possible role for advance pulmonary vasodilator selection in Gr 3 PH, selection of the appropriate phenotype and existing literature on this
