Event Description Are you a faculty member concerned about the impact of high textbook costs on your students? Today, there are more and more low-cost and no-cost textbook options available across all disciplines, as well as a growing body of evidence about the positive impact of adopting these materials in coursework.
This December, join experts from the Drexel Libraries and the Open Textbook Network for two faculty workshops on open education resources (OERs). During these sessions, attendees will learn about open education and open education resources, including how to find and contribute to OERs and the potential impact OERs have on student learning. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the Open Textbook Library, the premier resource for peer-reviewed academic textbooks.
