Behrakis Grand Hall

Keynote Speaker
Dr. Bernard Amadei, Professor of Civil Engineering and
Founding President of Engineers Without Borders

Innovations in science and engineering combined with shifting social and political forces impact contemporary understandings and applications of technology. This conference offers students opportunities to share their research and engage in critical reflection and dialogue about how technical innovation and increased access to technology are shaping our global context within the diverse disciplines of health, education, engineering, human rights, media, economics, politics, development, business and more.

How can you get involved?
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience presenting on an academic panel and to think critically about one of the world’s most pressing issues. You can apply online to present on a panel or register to attend the conference at www.drexel.edu/international. The priority deadline for student abstracts is January 26, 2015.

There will be six student panels open to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Global Science, Technology, and Society
• Global Health
• Global Media, Culture, and Arts
• Global Justice and Human Rights
• Global Business and Economic Trends
• Global Political and Social Trends

The student conference is free, open to the public and will include breakfast, lunch, and a networking reception with raffle prizes. For more information on our previous conference or to register for this year’s event, please visit the Office of International Programs website.
