This FREE event is open to all faculty and students. You are invited to come and learn how to identify and implement evidence based practice to greatly enhance healthcare and patient outcomes. Graduate students in the College of Nursing and Health Professions who have completed their research series classes were invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentation describing an evidence based practice that they are changing in their workplace. Eight oral and seven poster student authors will present their practices during this Colloquium followed by scholarly discussion on their selected topics at the Colloquium. We will be using Melnyk Level of Evidence Scale in the discussion. We hope to engage other student and faculty at Drexel in the discussion as we consider the evidence brought forth, and the resultant changes in health care practices. Our keynote speaker will be Donna Ciliska RN, PhD, Professor in the School of Nursing and Scientific Director of the National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools at McMaster University, Faculty of Health Sciences in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Dr Ciliska is a Career Scientist, Ministry of Health, Ontario. She is the Co-Editor of the journal, Evidence-Based Nursing, and is the Co-Director of the Canadian Centre for Evidence-Based Nursing. Her research interests include community health, obesity, eating disorders, and dissemination. For more information please contact: Karyn Holt at
