Event Description
“Why We Are All
Entrepreneurs: A View From the Close School”
Join
Dean Donna De Carolis for a discussion about the Close School’s innovative
approach to entrepreneurship education.
As
the nation’s first and only freestanding school of entrepreneurship to offer
degrees, the Close School represents a disruptive innovation in higher
education.
Come
see why.
Dean De
Carolis will present the Close School’s guiding philosophy, which views
entrepreneurship as a set of personal and professional skills that foster the
pursuit of innovation in business, personal and career contexts.
The
Close School sees entrepreneurship as a mindset, not a business model.
It’s
not just the
technical process of launching new companies; it’s more about the person (entrepreneur) than
the process (entrepreneurship).
The
Close School was founded in Jan. 2013 to provide a path to entrepreneurship to
all Drexel University students, regardless of major or plan of study. Students from every college and
school at Drexel are able to connect through the Close School to curricular,
extracurricular and experiential programs that support entrepreneurial efforts.
This event is a CEO LEAD-certified program. |
