Enhancing Critical Thinking to Support a *WIRED Learning Environment

Event Description

The Paul-Elder Critical Thinking Framework provides the context for this *WIRED diversity training. This training aims to empower participants to increase sensitivity to personal implicit bias and prejudice by enhancing critical thinking.  Participants engage in a facilitated Socratic dialogue that increases “thinking about one’s own thinking” (e.g., self-assessment of one's own assumptions and worldview), and understanding of different perspectives. Additionally, participants practice conflict resolution techniques that decrease tensions and increase cross-cultural collaboration.
