Keynote Description: Creating a culture of evidence-based or evidence informed nursing practice, various strategies and initiatives have been developed to facilitate this culture. In order to advance and sustain EBP/EIP within healthcare settings requires knowledge about Evidence Based Practice, experience using EBP/EIP, institutional leadership buy-in, and a great Internet connection. Collaboration among multiple institutions and academic settings can lead to more effective utilization of various expertise and skills of Evidence Based Practice / Evidence Informed Practice. (Granger et al., 2012). Evidence Based / Evidence Informed Practice does improve patient outcomes, impacts institutional outcomes and lastly, impacts individual knowledge and skills.
Outcome: To enable the nurse to increase knowledge on Evidence Based Practice (EBP) / Evidence Informed Practice (EIP) in order to enhance patient and academic outcomes.
Target Audience: Registered Nurses, Academic Faculty, Clinical Faculty, Education Specialists
