Event Description

Abstract

This lecture will focus on the journey of technological innovations from laboratory bench to market and will emphasize innovations in commercialization processes, particularly, in global partnerships. As an international legal expert, the speaker will take a multi-disciplinary and interactive approach, engaging the audience in a ‘talk show’ format. After providing a general overview of guiding principles and best practices in building precedent transactions and in resourcing collaborative ventures, he will walk through pertinent case studies. This program does not assume extensive prior legal knowledge or business experience. Students and faculty at every level will benefit from a discussion of challenging issues that have a direct effect on successful commercialization of innovation as a driver for regional and international economic growth and development.
