Event Description

Alexander A. Reinert is a Professor of Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he has taught civil procedure, criminal law, and constitutional law since 2007. His research focuses primarily on issues of civil procedure and civil rights litigation. Before joining the faculty, he worked for Koob & Magoolaghan, where his practice centered on prisoners’ rights, employment discrimination, and disability rights. He argued before the Supreme Court in Ashcroft v. Iqbal, and has appeared on behalf of parties and amicus curiae in other civil rights cases. After graduating from New York University School of Law in 1999, he clerked for Harry T. Edwards of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals and for Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.
