Event Description

Relax during your lunch break with a yoga session in our turn-of-the-century Picture Gallery surrounded by highlights from The Drexel Collection.

The Drexel Collection is the university's flagship art collection, and was created as early as 1892 when A.J. Drexel gave his first president, James MacAlister, $1 million to purchase art in Europe for the Institute. The collection has grown to include over 6,000 objects of decorative arts, prints, drawings, textiles, 19th century paintings, sculpture, photography and Drexel family portraits. The Anthony J. Drexel Picture Gallery is a major display space from the collection, constructed in 1901 to house a large collection of 19th century European landscape paintings donated to the collection by A. J. Drexel's brother-in-law, John D. Lankenau.

For safety, participants will not be admitted into class after the warm up has been completed. (To ensure a pleasant experience for all participants, once a yoga class has begun no one will be admitted)

No food or drinks are allowed, except water and sports drinks in a sealed bottle.

This class is on a first come first serve, with a cap of 30 participants.

Please bring your own yoga mat.
