Event Description
Dine & Discover: South
Korea
Drexel’s International
Students and Scholars Services (ISSS) and the Office of International
Programs (OIP) present our newest event series: Dine & Discover. These
events serve as an opportunity for domestic and international students to come
together and discuss their respective cultures over a traditional meal from
a particular place in the world. Every quarter, we will transport
students to a local restaurant for dinner and a guest lecture from an expert
faculty member about the culture and cuisine of a new region.
This quarter, Dine &
Discover will feature South Korea. Students will have a chance to eat
traditional South Korean cuisine (including dolsot bibimbap and
japchae) and hear from guest lecturer Sunmi Jung
Oh about the food culture of South Korea.
To register, fill
out the online survey. Once you have filled out the
survey, please stop by the Office of International Programs (Randell Hall,
Suite 235) between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to pay a $10 nonrefundable
reservation fee and sign a waiver. The payment (via cash or
Venmo) will reserve your space at the event and cover the cost of your
meal and transportation to and from the restaurant. All reservations,
waivers, and payments must be submitted before February 14th at
5 PM to participate.
Students on co-op who are
unable to stop by the Office of International Programs can email oip@drexel.edu for more
information about submitting payment and waivers.
Space is limited to 25
students.
