Event Description
The Online Learning Council invites all faculty, graduate students and staff to attend its Town Hall II: UPick event. You'll learn tips for online course design and explore cool new technologies, effective means of boosting online student engagement, tools for accessibility and more.
Subjects covered include:

Blackboard Ally (a tool making your online course components compliant for accessibility)

VRtifacts+ (an open repository of over 500,000 augmented learning objects, seamlessly incorporated into BbL and already available for your use
- Interactive quizzes, possibilities for gamification, and building and curating expert videoed interviews for your courses, among others
The UPick Town Hall is a crowd favorite. Presenters sit at tables dispersed around the room and attendees circulate among the tables every 15 minutes. Attendees gain a LOT in a short time, as the presenters share new tools and technology applications of technology, or a project in which they are engaged.
